Being Baptised at St Mary Magdalen Sheet

Christian baptism is rich in symbols. Water is the most important, as it’s both cleansing and life-giving. It represents God’s washing of us and his gift of new (spiritual) life in Jesus. Many churches, including the Church of England, baptise the children of those who follow Jesus and we are no exception. We like to conduct baptisms as part of our main service on a Sunday morning when the church family joins to worship God together. Generally we offer baptism on the first Sunday of the month at our 10am service. We would love to welcome you and your family and friends to this. If you would like to have your child baptised – or be baptised yourself – we’d love to hear from you. Please contact our parish administrator who will arrange for one of the clergy to meet with you to talk through the service.
