Giving

Thank you for considering a donation for the work of St Mary Magdalen, Sheet.  We believe that everything we have comes from God, and that giving is part of our response to him. We are very grateful for all who give. It is the generosity of the church family that enables us to pursue our vision. Thank you.

There are various ways in which you can make a one off or regular donation and you can also specify if your donation is for a specific purpose (Youth Work, Seniors work, Church Fabric) albeit that we would encourage General giving as this allows us to channel funds into those areas with the most current needs.

The following options are available:

Direct Debit (for regular monthly, quarterly or annual donations)

Many members of our church use the Parish Giving Scheme to make their gift each month.  This is a Direct Debit scheme which also reclaims Gift Aid for us monthly.  This is enormously helpful since it minimises our administration, and regular giving helps us to budget ahead.

You can find out more details and set up a Direct Debit online or on the phone by visiting https://register.parishgiving.org.uk/.  You will need to quote our registration number: 290629094 to ensure your gift goes to the correct St. Mary Magdalen!

Alternatively you can contact us at giving@sheet.church and we will send you a form.

Standing Order/ Bank Transfer (for regular or one-off giving)

You can contact your bank to set up a Standing Order or one-off payment by electronic bank transfer to the following bank details:

Account Name:    St. Mary Magdalen PCC Sheet
Sort code:            405240
Account number: 00013383
Reference:           [your name (especially important if you are Gift Aiding), and/or purpose of gift]

It would also be helpful if you let the Donations Coordinator know at giving@sheet.church

Cheque

Please make these payable to ‘St Mary Magdalen PCC’ and send them to:

The Parish Office, 2 Pulens Lane, Petersfield, Hants. GU31 4DB.

Gift Aid – Your Gift worth 25% more…

Gifts from UK taxpayers qualify for Gift Aid. This means that for every £1 you give, we can claim an extra 25p!

To qualify, you must be a UK taxpayer who has paid income or capital gains tax equal to the tax that will be claimed on your donation.

It’s very easy – all you have to do is make a Gift Aid declaration. A Gift Aid declaration is a statement by an individual taxpayer that they want a charity to receive the tax paid on their donation back from the government.

Please download our Gift Aid Declaration form and return it to: giftaid@sheet.church
